Xenue B Series – 4MP Bullet Camera with a 3.6mm Lens – XEN-B014-W

The Xenue B Series 4MP Bullet Camera has a lot packed into such a small camera body. With smart IR up to 98 feet, you’ll get incredible imagery day or night. The lens and IR emitters are housed behind an optical, anti-reflection glass window. This gives higher transmittance without the infrared glare that is apparent on other cameras.

This camera is also IP67 weatherproof, meaning you can install this camera almost anywhere without fear. It’s tough enough to brave any storm that comes its way. With a wide temperature range of -31°F to 140°F, extreme temperatures won’t stop this thing, either.

With a ton of features and settings to play around with on the web interface, this camera will keep the tech-enthusiast happy. At the same time, everything is neatly organized and easy to find, making it approachable for just about anyone.

This camera’s high functionality, powerful performance, and beautiful form factor make this the perfect camera for a variety of situations. Whether you’re a security professional preparing for a large commercial install or a homeowner looking to add to your home security system, you can’t go wrong with the Xenue B Series 4MP fixed lens bullet.

4MP RESOLUTION (1440P)

The XEN-B014-W shoots video at 4MP @ 25 FPS, at around 1440p. For comparison, a 2MP camera shoots at 1080p. A 4MP camera is a perfect fit between 1080P and 4K – you get roughly double the amount of pixels of 1080p, but at a fraction of a cost of a 4K camera. This camera is great for catching fine details while keeping costs low.

3.6MM FIXED LENS

The XEN-B014-W has a 3.6mm Fixed Lens, meaning it’s fixed at one length and can’t be zoomed in or out.

The longer the focal length on a fixed lens camera, the more zoomed in it is and the more close-up detail you’ll be able to see. But the shorter the focal length, the wider the field of view and the more area your surveillance will cover.

The XEN-B014-W has a fixed length of 3.6mm, giving it a horizontal field of view of 86.4°, making it a great choice to monitor a relatively wide area, but with more range than a 2.8mm camera.

True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)

The XEN-B014-W features True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) at up to 120db, meaning that the camera is able to see more details in over-exposed or under-exposed scenarios, such as an open door on a bright day or a shadowy section of a dark warehouse. While other cameras might miss details in these situation, this camera has a Wide Dynamic Range which allows it to “see” in these difficult locations much easier.

PoE Capability

While the XEN-B014-W has the ability to be powered by a 12VDC power adapter (not included), the camera also has the ability to be powered by a PoE connection. In other words, you can save the hassle of finding an outlet near your camera location or running a separate power connection to the camera simply by using a compatible PoE switch or NVR with PoE.

IP67 WEATHERPROOF RATING

This camera has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 67. This means the camera is completely protected from dust and other solid particles. It can also withstand being submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. While we don’t absolutely don’t recommend installing your device underwater, you can rest assured that storms and harsh weather won’t damage this camera.

98′ NIGHT VISION IR RANGE

When the sun goes down or the lights go out, this camera switches on its own onboard infrared LED lights. These lights, which are almost entirely invisible to the human eye (save for some minor red glow), allow the camera to continue functioning and recording video 24/7, day or night. And since its IR range covers up to 98 feet, you can still record and monitor pitch black locations.

ONVIF COMPATIBILITY

If you want to add this camera to a security system already set up, that’s no problem. This camera complies with the protocols set by the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF). This means, as long as your current recorder is ONVIF compatible, you’ll be able to set this camera up with your current system.
