This camera’s high functionality, powerful performance, and beautiful form factor make this the perfect camera for a variety of situations. 4MP RESOLUTION
The XEN-B014-W shoots video at 4MP @ 25 FPS, at around slightly more than 1440p. For comparison, a 2MP camera shoots at 1080p. A 4MP camera is a perfect fit between 1080P and 4K – you get roughly double the amount of pixels of 1080p, but at a fraction of a cost of a 4K camera. This camera is great for catching fine details while keeping costs low.
2.8MM FIXED LENS
The XEN-D014-W has a 2.8mm Fixed Lens, meaning it’s fixed at one length and can’t be zoomed in or out.
The longer the focal length on a fixed lens camera, the more zoomed in it is and the more close-up detail you’ll be able to see. But the shorter the focal length, the wider the field of view and the more area your surveillance will cover.
The XEN-D014-W has a fixed length of 2.8mm, giving it a horizontal field of view of 104.4°, making it a great choice to monitor a wide area with lots of coverage.
PoE Capability
While the XEN-D014-W has the ability to be powered by a 12VDC power adapter (not included), the camera also has the ability to be powered by a PoE connection. In other words, you can save the hassle of finding an outlet near your camera location or running a separate power connection to the camera simply by using a compatible PoE switch or NVR with PoE.
IP67 WEATHERPROOF RATING
This camera has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 67. This means the camera is completely protected from dust and other solid particles. It can also withstand being submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. While we don’t recommend installing your device underwater, you can rest assured that storms and harsh weather won’t damage this camera.
IK10 VANDALPROOF RATING
The XEN-D014-W has an Impact Protection (IK) rating of 10, the highest rating a product can receive. If someone want’s to disable this camera, they’re going to have a difficult time doing so because of the strong design of the dome camera. It’s also very difficult to reorient the camera without breaking the glass on the dome, making this a very safe security camera option.
100′ NIGHT VISION IR RANGE
When the sun goes down or the lights go out, this camera switches on its own onboard infrared LED lights. These lights, which are almost entirely invisible to the human eye (save for some minor red glow), allow the camera to continue functioning and recording video 24/7, day or night. And since its IR range covers up to 100 feet, you can still record and monitor pitch black locations.
ONVIF COMPATIBILITY
If you want to add this camera to a security system already set up, that’s no problem. This camera complies with the protocols set by the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF). This means, as long as your current recorder is ONVIF compatible, you’ll be able to set this camera up with your current system.
